Meet the Donkeys

Polly

Polly is an 8 year old BLM (Bureau of Land Management) burro. We adopted her in 2021 from a BLM holding facility in Florence, AZ. This once shy donkey is now incredibly sweet, gentle and inquisitive. Polly has a very calming presence. She is fantastic with children and loves getting brushed and scratched in all those hard-to-reach places. She enjoys companionship, being brushed, and hiking, albeit at a leisurely pace.

Punky

Punky is an 13 year old BLM (Bureau of Land Management) burro. Named “Penelope” by her previous owners, we changed her name to “Punky”, because, honestly, she’s a bit of a punk. Punky is NOT camera shy and loves showing off her smile! She enjoys exploring, searching relentlessly for food, and opening all the gates on our property (maybe we should change her name to Houdini).

Daffodil

Daffodil is a 5 year old miniature donkey. She is an incredibly intelligent girl who loves learning new tricks and showing off her skills. She is very sweet, playful and full of personality. She loves children and is a great cuddling companion. Daffodil is very adventurous, always taking lead on our hikes and unafraid of nearly all distractions. She is one fun little donkey!

Cannoli

Cannoli is a 2-year old miniature donkey. She’s the newest addition to our family. She’s very sweet, cute, and a big hit with the kids. Her small size makes her less intimidating to small children. Don’t let her cute looks fool you though; she’s just as stubborn as the rest of her sisters.
